Other Party Liability Inc., in conjunction with Laffey & Associates P.C., administers a systematic program of subrogation outsourcing primarily for insurers, third party administrators, and employers. The firm currently represents Highmark Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and Blue Cross Blue Shield Albany, New York, and is also administering a number of subrogation cases on behalf of Medicaid HMO's located in New York & Missouri. For each of these clients, much of the administrative and legal services previously performed in house through an administrative budget are now being serviced by attorneys and staff who have experience in personal injury matters on a contingency fee basis.

Michael J. Laffey, Esq., President of OPL, Inc., has represented the subrogation interests of thirteen separate Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in the Pedicle Screw consolidated class action filed in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and assisted in co-representing seven Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in the Phen fen diet drug litigation. All administrative costs and legal fees are absorbed and deducted from increased recoveries. Under Mr. Laffey's direction our clients have experienced an increase in their recoveries.
